Local historian Brian Engelhardt will present “1728 – Year of Fear From the Tulpehocken to the Oley Valley“. This illustrated lecture concerns the period when there was major unrest between the native American Lenni Lenape and the settlers in Berks including bloodshed along the Cacoosing on the edge of Sinking Spring. Parking is the in rear off of Columbia Avenue: the meeting entrance is in the front of the building on Penn Avenue to be held in council chambers.
